Hydro dipping (also known as immersion printing, water transfer printing and hydro imaging ) is a unique process that allows you to apply graphics to almost any three-dimensional object. This process has been used for years in the auto industry along with many other fields. Other items like firearms, helmets, gaming controllers & ATV's are widely decorated with hydro films these days. There are many different materials (substrates) the film can be applied on such as plastic, metal, wood, and more. Below are the steps in the dipping process and things to know.
Each part is finished with one of three coating. High gloss acrylic polyurethane, satin-semi gloss or a mate anti-slip finish.
It is comparable to the paint on an automobile. We have done many parts that spend most of there time in direct sun, like boats, atvs, motorcycles , street rods and race cars and they hold up very well.
Most parts can be ready in about 2 weeks. When we take your order we will confirm the color and print pattern that you have chosen, quote you a price, offer you payment options, and give you an approximate delivery date.
Yes, San Antonio Hydro Grafix is proud and honored to offer a lifetime 1OO % limited warranty on material, manufacture defects, and our process. Some exclusions may apply.
We can dip a variety of flat or 3D shapes. Some examples are valve covers, intake manifolds, engine covers, interior pieces, guns, pistols, motorcycles, animal skulls. etc. Check out our photo gallery to see some of our work.
